Honoring Our People Equally
What is Bushwick H.O.P.E?
Bushwick H.O.P.E. (Honoring Our People Equally) is a Family Enrichment Center. We are a welcoming, community-based space designed to support and strengthen families by providing a variety of resources, offerings, and activities. Utilizing five Protective Factors, we focus on community prevention, education, and participation to support stronger families.
What is a Family Enrichment Center (FEC)?
In 2017, The Administration for Children's Services (ACS) launched three Family Enrichment Centers (FEC) in high need communities. Today, there are 30 FEC’s located across New York City. FEC’s are welcoming walk-in family-centered spaces, open to all, where activities are co-designed with community members.
FEC’s partner with families and local leaders to identify community strengths and develop gatherings, activities, events, workshops and initiatives (called "Offerings"). These offerings are an opportunity for families to embrace family protective factors that we all need to navigate life's challenges and opportunities.

Our Mission
At Bushwick H.O.P.E., our mission is to empower and support families through meaningful partnerships that foster resilience, well-being, and lifelong success. We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive space where families can access essential resources, build strong community connections, and thrive together. Guided by the Five Protective Factors, we cultivate opportunities for families to grow, learn, and flourish—strengthening the foundation for a brighter, healthier future for all.
What are the 5 Protective Factors of the FEC?
